Creators covering Korean beauty or fashion, and small US brands assembling gifting boxes, both need Korean products in quantities between personal and wholesale. That middle ground has its own logistics, and the timing pressure of a content calendar makes it different from ordinary shopping.
The quantity band nobody serves well
Ten to a hundred units is too many for retail convenience and too few for most wholesale minimums. The practical route is retail or semi-wholesale purchasing across several Korean stores, consolidated into one shipment. Expect to pay retail or slightly below, and to make up the difference on shipping efficiency rather than unit price.
Content calendar timing
A launch-tied review needs product in hand before the launch, which means ordering four to six weeks ahead given a two to three week logistics chain plus buffer. Korean brand launches are frequently announced with two weeks of notice, which is why creators covering new releases end up paying for expedited shipping regularly. Building in a standing consolidation cycle every three or four weeks smooths this out.
Sampling versus full size
Korean beauty brands produce genuine sample and travel sizes far more widely than US brands, often at 3,000 to 8,000 KRW. For gifting boxes and giveaways, these cut both unit cost and shipping weight dramatically. A hundred travel-size items can weigh under 4 kg where a hundred full sizes would exceed 20.
Regulatory reality for cosmetics
Cosmetics imported for distribution, including free gifting, are subject to US labeling requirements that Korean domestic packaging does not meet. Personal review units are a different case from products you hand to consumers. If a campaign involves giving cosmetics to the public, that is a compliance question to resolve before ordering a hundred units.

Can I get free PR product from Korean brands?
Occasionally, and it usually requires an established audience in the brand's target market plus a Korean-language pitch. Most creators buy their own product for the first year.
Is it cheaper to buy through a Korean retailer or the brand site?
Brand sites run better promotions and sample bundles; multi-brand retailers save you consolidation steps. For mixed baskets, the retailer usually wins on total cost.
How fast can a rush order realistically move?
About eight to eleven days door to door if the item is in stock and everything is expedited. Under a week is not realistic for a Korean purchase and should not be promised to a client.
