Many agencies run a separate domestic and global membership with different prices and different perks, and the domestic one is usually the more useful of the two.
Domestic versus global membership
Domestic memberships typically run 25,000 to 40,000 KRW per year and include a physical welcome kit, domestic ticket pre-sale access and membership-gated merch. Global memberships often cost more in USD terms, ship the kit internationally, and grant pre-sale access only for overseas tour dates. Fans who care about Korean concert dates or KR-store exclusives need the domestic one.
The verification wall
Domestic sign-up usually requires a Korean phone number and, at some agencies, identity verification tied to a Korean resident registration. This is not a payment problem you can solve with a better card; it is an account problem. It is the single most common reason an overseas fan cannot register, and it needs to be worked out before the signup window opens rather than during it.
Signup windows are short
Most agencies open membership for a two to four week window once per season or once per year, and do not accept new members outside it. Missing the window means waiting months. Calendar the opening date the moment it is announced, because the welcome kit and pre-sale rights are tied to registering inside that window.
What the kit is actually worth
A welcome kit typically contains a membership card, a photocard set, a small stationery item and sometimes a lanyard, boxed at around 700 to 900 g. Resale value on unopened kits often exceeds the membership fee, which is why some fans join purely for the kit and never use the pre-sale rights.

Can I use a US phone number?
Some agencies accept one for the global membership but not the domestic tier. If the form rejects the number format, that is the domestic verification requirement talking, not a bug.
Does membership guarantee concert tickets?
No. It grants access to a pre-sale round, which is still a competitive queue. It improves your odds considerably but is not a reservation.
Can the welcome kit be forwarded to me?
