Head sizing in centimeters
Korean hats are sized by head circumference in centimeters, typically 55 to 60 for adjustable caps and specific numbers for fitted ones. Measure around your head just above the ears. A US 7 1/4 fitted cap is about 58 cm. Free size caps generally accommodate 56-59 cm with the strap.
The Korean cap silhouette
Domestic caps tend to have a shallower crown and a longer, flatter brim than US baseball caps, which is a deliberate style choice rather than a sizing quirk. If you have a deep head shape, a Korean cap can sit high. Bucket hats and beanies are more forgiving.
Shape protection in transit
Structured caps crush if packed under heavier items. Ask for the cap to be stuffed with paper and placed at the top of the box, or shipped in its own small box. This adds a small amount of volume but prevents the most common damage complaint in this category.
Price and weight
Caps run 25,000-60,000 KRW and weigh 90-150 g. Beanies are 15,000-40,000 KRW and near-weightless. Because they weigh so little, hats are ideal add-ons to a box you are already shipping rather than a standalone order.
