Korean menswear is not one market. There is the mall tier selling trend pieces cheap, a strong mid-tier of domestic labels doing careful basics, and a small tailoring scene producing suiting at prices that undercut equivalent US made-to-measure by a wide margin.
The fits to expect
Korean menswear has moved decisively toward relaxed and wide silhouettes over the past several years. Shoulders sit dropped, trousers are cut full through the leg, and slim fits are now the minority. If you want a traditional fitted cut, look at tailoring labels rather than the general market.
Sizing conventions
Menswear uses numeric sizes 95, 100, 105 and 110, corresponding roughly to US S, M, L and XL, based on chest circumference in centimeters. Trousers use waist in inches on domestic brands and centimeters on some smaller labels. Always cross-check against the flat measurement table.
Price bands worth knowing
Mall-tier shirts at 25,000-45,000 KRW, mid-tier at 60,000-120,000 KRW, and domestic tailoring shirts at 150,000 KRW and up. Outerwear from mid-tier labels runs 200,000-450,000 KRW, which is where the gap with US stockists is widest.
Shipping menswear efficiently
Shirts and knitwear pack flat and light, roughly 250-500 g each. A box of eight to ten pieces lands near 4 kg, which is an efficient shipment. Add a coat and you are into volumetric territory, so consider splitting outerwear into its own compressed shipment.

Do Korean sizes run small for US men?
Yes, roughly one size. A US medium often corresponds to a Korean 105 rather than 100, especially in fitted styles.
Is Korean tailoring worth ordering remotely?
Made-to-measure needs fittings, so it is impractical from abroad. Ready-to-wear tailoring from domestic labels ships fine.
Are big and tall sizes available?
Limited. Sizes above 110 exist but the selection narrows sharply, and specialist sellers charge a premium.
