Alongside the streetwear scene, Korea has a deep bench of minimalist labels making unbranded basics with careful fabric choices. These brands rarely export, get very little English coverage, and are the reason a lot of overseas shoppers start using a Korean address.
What the category covers
Heavyweight cotton tees, boxy shirting, wide trousers, unstructured blazers and fine-gauge knits in muted palettes. Tees run 30,000-60,000 KRW, shirts 60,000-120,000 KRW and blazers 150,000-300,000 KRW. Logos are usually absent or reduced to a small woven tag.
Fabric details to check
These brands disclose fabric weight in grams per square meter, which is unusual and useful. A 220-260 gsm tee is substantial; 140-180 gsm is standard weight. Korean listings also state whether the fabric is combed cotton and the country of milling, both of which correlate with how the garment holds up.
Sizing runs differently
Minimalist Korean brands size for an intentionally loose fit, so a size 2 in one of these labels can be roomier than a US large. Read the flat measurements rather than sizing up by reflex, or you will end up with something several inches wider than you wanted.
Why they do not ship abroad
