Most sets open for pre-order between late October and late November, ship in December and are never restocked. Missing the window means paying resale prices, often double.

They are heavy
A Season's Greetings box typically weighs 1.5-2.5 kg because of the calendar, photobook and DVD. Budget for shipping accordingly, and consider consolidating with lighter items to make the box efficient.
