Naver Smart Store is not one store, it is hundreds of thousands of independent shops running on Naver's platform. Each has its own stock reality, shipping speed and willingness to deal with unusual requests, and the only way to find out is the inquiry board attached to every product.
The three communication channels
Every Smart Store has a product Q and A board that is public, a one-to-one inquiry form that is private, and often a Naver Talk Talk chat widget for live messaging. Talk Talk gets the fastest response, typically within business hours the same day, while the Q and A board can take several days. Talk Talk is also the only channel where you can send a photo, which matters when the question is about a specific detail visible in the listing images.
What to confirm before ordering
Actual stock on the specific option you want, since listings often stay live after the option sells out. Whether the item ships from Korea or is a China direct-import listing, which changes timelines by a week or more. And whether the seller will ship to a forwarding warehouse address, which almost all will. It is also worth asking whether the item ships in its retail box, since some sellers remove packaging to save domestic shipping cost and that changes what arrives.
How Korean sellers write back
Replies are short, formal and frequently reference the order number rather than restating the question. Machine translation handles them adequately. Expect no response outside 9am to 6pm Korea time and none at all on weekends or public holidays. Replies frequently arrive as a single word meaning possible or not possible, which is a complete answer by local convention rather than a curt dismissal.
The stock-not-confirmed pattern
Many small sellers hold no inventory and order from a wholesaler after your purchase. These listings show longer preparation times and cancel most often. If a listing quotes a preparation period beyond five days, ask directly whether the item is in hand. Sellers with a listed preparation time of one to two days almost always hold stock, and filtering search results by that field is a reasonable proxy for reliability.

Will sellers answer in English?
Rarely. Send questions in Korean, and expect Korean answers. Machine translation both directions works well enough for stock questions.
Can I request specific packaging?
Yes, and many sellers accommodate it. Ask through Talk Talk before ordering rather than in the order notes, which are often unread.
Do sellers ship to warehouse addresses?
Almost always, since it looks like any other Korean residential or commercial address to them.
