Season greetings are the annual boxed set that most agencies release for the coming year, and they are the most reliably time-boxed purchase in the entire fandom calendar. Miss the pre-order window and the resale price is often double. The schedule barely moves from year to year.
The annual timeline
Announcements start appearing in early to mid-November. Pre-orders typically open mid to late November and close in early to mid-December. Production ships in late December or early January, timed for the new year. Anything ordered after the window closes is coming from resale, not from the agency. Agencies stagger their announcements across November, so following several groups means several separate deadlines rather than one. Building a single list in early November is the only way to keep track of them.
What is actually in a set
A wall or desk calendar, a dated planner or diary, a photobook, a photocard set, and usually one or two extras such as a poster, sticker sheet or acrylic stand. Prices generally run 50,000 to 90,000 KRW, about 36 to 65 USD. Boxed weight is typically 1.5 to 2.5 kg, which makes it one of the more expensive items to ship.
Why the window is so tight
The sets are dated products with no value after the year starts, so agencies produce close to the pre-order volume and rarely reprint. A set that sold at 70,000 KRW in November routinely trades at 130,000 to 180,000 KRW in February, and by March the market thins out because nobody wants a dated planner in month three.
Shipping strategy for a heavy dated item
Because production ships late December, the box often crosses the Seollal shutdown. Getting it dispatched in the first week of January is meaningfully faster than the third week. If you also bought December items, this is the shipment to consolidate them into, since the season set is already carrying most of the weight.

Are season sets restocked?
Very rarely, and usually only in a small second round announced in December. Assume the first window is the only one.
Is the planner usable if it arrives in February?
Physically yes, though two months of the dated pages are gone. This is exactly why late arrivals lose value fast on the resale market.
Can I order a season set without the shipping cost being brutal?
Only by consolidating it with other purchases. A 2 kg box on its own is roughly 30 to 42 USD of air freight regardless of what else you do.
