There are three realistic routes out of Korea, and the cheapest depends almost entirely on weight.
Korea Post EMS
Simple and available at any post office, but priced well above forwarder rates at most weights and slower than express air.
Direct courier express
Fastest and most expensive. Worth it only when time genuinely matters.
Forwarding and consolidation
A Korean warehouse address plus consolidated air shipping is normally the cheapest option above about 1 kg, and the gap widens with weight.
Where the break-even sits
Under 0.5 kg the options are close. From 2 kg upward, consolidation is typically 30-45% cheaper than EMS.

Does insurance cost extra?
Optional coverage is available and priced on declared value.
What about very heavy boxes?
Above 30 kg, shipments are quoted individually.
