Small tools worth the space
Microfiber cloths, drain hair catchers, sink strainers, silicone brushes and adhesive organizers. These weigh 20-200 g, cost 1,000-8,000 KRW each, and the designs are frequently better thought out than US equivalents. A dozen of them adds under 1 kg to a box.
Detergent sheets and concentrates
Laundry detergent sheets and concentrated pods are the workable version of a category that is otherwise pure water weight. A pack of 30 sheets weighs about 120 g and costs 8,000-15,000 KRW, against several kilograms for a bottle of liquid.
What to skip entirely
Bottled liquid detergents, fabric softeners, bulk bleach and any pressurized aerosol cleaner. Beyond weight, aerosols and some chemical cleaners are restricted on air freight, and those restriction lists change. There is no version of this that ends well.
Kitchen consumables
Korean parchment sheets, silicone mats and cut-to-size cloths pack flat and cheap. They are the sort of item that fills the last few hundred grams of a box you are already paying for.
