Opening a K-pop album for the first time is genuinely confusing because there are eight to twelve separate items inside and no manifest in English. Knowing what should be there also lets you tell whether something is missing before the return window closes.
The fixed inclusions
Every standard album contains the photobook, the CD in a sleeve or tray, a lyric booklet if separate from the photobook, and a sticker or postcard set. These are identical across every copy of that version and are not random. Their presence is guaranteed. Some releases also include a CD-only slipcase or a separate accessory such as a folded fabric poster, which is listed on the product page rather than being universal.
The random inclusions
The photocard is drawn from a pool, typically covering every member across several concepts, so a group of seven might have 21 possible cards per version. Some releases add a random bookmark, random film strip or random selfie card. Randomness is per copy, meaning buying four copies does not guarantee four different members. Buying a full set of members therefore requires either luck across many copies or a secondary market purchase, which is why the loose card trade exists at all.
The poster question
Folded posters are usually included, but rolled posters are a separate item you must select at checkout, often at no extra cost while stock lasts. Most first-time buyers miss this checkbox entirely. Rolled posters also ship in a tube, which changes packing and adds volumetric weight. Rolled poster stock is limited and runs out well before the album does, so it is worth selecting on day one of a pre-order rather than later.
Pre-order-only inclusions
Store-specific pre-order photocards, transparent photocards and event entry slips ship as loose items alongside the sealed album, not inside it. If your album arrives sealed with nothing loose in the box, the pre-order benefit was either not applied or sold out. Keeping the loose items in a separate sleeve on arrival makes it much easier to establish what was included if you later need to raise a claim.

Can I choose which member photocard I get?
Not from a store. Only digipack and member-specific versions guarantee a member, or you buy a loose card secondhand.
What if my photocard is missing?
Report it immediately with photos of the sealed album and its contents. Once a claim window closes the label will not replace it.
Should I keep the shrink wrap?
For resale value yes, unopened albums hold value best. For collecting the cards, obviously not.
