The catalog gap

Brand names also differ in transliteration between the two sites, so searching the Korean brand name on the global store often returns nothing even when the label is carried.
The price difference in practice
Comparable items typically run 15-30% higher on the global site once you account for the currency conversion. A 129,000 KRW dress, about $95, often appears around $120-130 internationally before shipping. On single small items that gap is smaller than a proxy service fee plus freight. Duties and shipping on the global site are typically bundled into the checkout total, which makes the comparison cleaner than it looks once you add freight to the Korean-side option.
When to just use the global site
One item, under about $150, already listed internationally, and you want it fast. The global site handles duties and delivers in roughly a week without you doing anything. Do not overcomplicate a simple order. Delivery on the global side generally runs five to nine business days from Korea, which is competitive with anything a consolidation route can offer on a single item.
When the Korean site wins
Multi-item orders, anything from a brand the global site does not carry, or when a Korean-only promotion is running. Once you are buying three or more pieces, consolidating a Korean order and paying one freight charge beats three international markups.
